2021 Perodua Ativa vs Used Honda HR-V Comparison Review, Which Would You Get? | WapCar

For the price of a brand new 2021 Perodua Ativa (RM 72,000), you can fetch yourself a good used car like the 2015 Honda HR-V pre-facelift.

A HR-V has much more practical appeal to the family man….

  1. When talk about a family with two kids, it would be good if you can show two child seats are installed and compare the rear seats spaces.

  2. He comparing New ativa with used HRv. Not comparing based on pricing but so we see an option on the same price range. I actually looking for this kind of video.

  3. Here's the think….Honda is smart at not giving tons of features like ADAS , blind spot monitoring and many more like the Ativa so that Consumers won't have any issue on the long run….this is why Honda's are rated the best car brand ever….no doubt about it

  4. Don't know why people are laughing about the comparison, this is exactly what i was thinking actually, whether to get new Ativa or 2nd hand HRV. Thanks for the comparison, very clear pros and cons. The HRV is still a value proposition, especially if you get at least one year warranty left, so you can get everything checked and covered before it's over.

  5. What a joke..1.8L with high fuel consumption, high road tax, high maintenance, no warranty, high spare part price..not even mentioned that every owner have to consider

  6. Need to improve on your presentation sir. Stop saying 'right' at the end of each sentence. Sounds like you keep asking the viewers to agree with u the whole video. Anyway, the comparison is quite good n not irrelevant as other comments here may suggest.

  7. LOL alot of comment says this is joke comparison not fair lah different segment lah that why Wapcar use "2nd hand HRV" instead of new one that cost RM105K price tag …btw this is good comparison between lower segment NEW car (Ativa) vs upper segment but "USED"… HRV is more refined due to 4 cylinder 1.8 N/a engine & more practical. used market around RM70K + if u really don't mind used car and active safety feature yeah HRV is worth to considered

  8. If you’re a family man who love yours family, how can you forego safety features found in the Ativa that aren’t in the HRV. Surely your family’s safety rates higher than selfish driving pleasure

  9. Well, if i have the money/budget, surely i'll think of the new ativa & the used hrv as options if i want to buy a new car.. maintenance wise, maybe i choose the ativa..

  10. Clearly people who dont get this comparison is not in the market for it… if someone really contemplating between this 2, i believe this video helps them in choosing the right one… to be honest how many time we look for segment when buying a car as a real world user? All we care is the price and is it worth it…

  11. Of course hrv la, king of compact crossover in the country…feeling wise, all aspects ticked without any struggle or drama…the ativa is so bad, until it makes the mediocre hrv looks good btw..can search n study by urself for honest comparison~ I didn't own any but have test driven them several times, so i m just stating fact of my personal experience n preference~ cheers…

  12. Probably the only channel to compare used Japanese car vs new Perodua? This channel understands consumers. Love this new guy Jason.

  13. After he sold his 2015 HR-V he will get another SUV 2021. But definitely not Ativa because both 2 different segment. For this segment HR-V segment and price above Rm100k+ got so many choice la.
2015 hrv poor resale value, bank market value Rm40k-Rm50k, used car dealers is taking less that it

  14. Great comparison and this is what it miss on most of the other vehicle media platform. For me at least from the consumer standpoint, most of the time is not about what is the class of the car or maybe which segment of the car or whether it is a SUV or sedan car or even the car is new or not. It is more about what can I get for this budget. Brilliant Video. Thanks Jason!

  15. HRV seems good though. But.. Of course.. It's used car, 5-6 years.. There's lot of risks need to reassess for maintenance.

  16. I'm not sure am I the only one disturbed with those "right" word in almost every single sentence.. nonetheless, it is a good video indeed..

  17. I was considering exactly this option several months ago. I've owned 2 Hondas before, 1 had a cvt failure and had to be scrapped. In the end I chose the Ativa, I've never bought a second hand car before and maybe that's why lol. In comparison, the Ativa has more fancy gadgets and displays too. The HRV is still an older gen car with analog dials and barely any equipment.

  18. Very good comparison. I happen to be considering the exact car models. I'm more likely to get the hrv after this video. My sons are kinda tall so the taller head space and leg space will come in handy.
