  1. Are they specifically manufactured to limit the top speed, perhaps for safety reasons? @8:55 you mention the top speed is 126 miles per hour. That sounds like below the 180 horse power potential of this car.

  2. Zonk the "hatch" … it's NOT … repeat: NOT a hatchback … it's mostly a "liftback", and that's just UGLY & NOT practical or functional as a hatchback. Looks like Honda thinks it would dip into CRV sales … for example: the Volkswagon GTI is a hatchback. Zonk the silver "usb" exhaust outlet. There's "still" fake vents in the lower front grill. When … oh when! are carmakers gonna stop sticking badges onto body panels? Kudos to dash styling and rear legroom

  3. I bought my 2011 4 door sedan civic lx 5 speed manual transmission brand new in 2010 for about 17k. I could never pay over 20k for a base model civic. I also bought a brand new 2018 subaru impreza base model 5 speed manual for 18k a few years back. I know prices have gone up on both new and used cars, but negotiation is key in any car purchase.

  4. Cant buy one with a 6MT without like a 4-5k market adjustment. Ridiculous. Not paying $40k for a civic. Imagine being happy to find one at even MSRP??? If a dealer is reading this and willing to sell at MSRP I'm here, waiting patiently.

  5. Another stellar review Raiti ! I was eye balling the SI , but now after seeing this , it’s an obvious no brainer , this one is the best value for the money . That car right here is the one I’d get , love the color and everything about it . Also the SI does not come equipped with leather trim , no wireless charging dock, no spare tire and the little bitty trunk space is just too small . But it has the very desirable 200hp engine , which is also tuned for less “rev hang” , and it’s sporty , but also requires premium octane fuel , which negates the fuel economy savings.
They’re both very nice but I really like this one here , Honda has done nice job with this .
BTW , the wheel base is the same with the hatchback and sedan , the extra 4.9” is on the rear end of the car itself.

  6. My 2005 ex accord, manual needs to retire. It was a dream to drive . How would the two compare in terms of fun to drive, reliability and smooth ride. I understand “sports” model to have a rougher ride. Does that remain true ?
I welcome replies from those that luv driving a stick .

  7. After owning a 2011 Scion tC for the last 7 years I definitely found a love for hatchbacks! And I’m totally digging this new civic hatchback! ??

  8. Honestly I would rather pay a little bit more money and get the accord with the 2.0 turbo motor instead of the 1.5 turbo motor in the civics. I would wait until the accord redesign though to get one. I’m guessing what 2024. But I’m not a big fan of buying first year generation vehicles.
